Cancer Care

Cancer Services at Providence Memorial Hospital are coordinated through the SPHN American College of Surgeons (ACoS) Accredited Network Cancer Program. Providence Memorial Hospital provides cancer-related services from prevention and early detection through treatment. The Surgical, Medical and Radiation Oncologist and Pathologist collaborate to provide quality, expert cancer care following the standards of practice established by the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Clinical Oncology and National Comprehensive Cancer Network.

The Oncologists, who practice at Providence, participate in Oncology Research Groups throughout the nation to provide some of the latest treatments available. Providence Memorial Hospital has a research committee which reviews proposals from physicians for clinical trails. These activities allow treatments through clinical trials to be available to cancer survivors in El Paso.

Providence Memorial Hospital and the Cancer Committee collaborate with the non-profit cancer organizations within our committee to provide the support services cancer patients require to live with diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
